Hello Potential Student or Interested Parent:
My name is Shihan Parker, Founder and Chief Instructor of the Two Skies School of Self Defense. I possess an A.A.S. Degree in Child Care, a B.S. Degree in Counseling, and an M.S. Degree in Organizational Leadership. I began my martial arts training in 1973 under the instruction of Master Gregory Jaco. I hold a 1st Degree {Okuiri} Black Belt in Ju Jitsu, a 4th Degree Black Belt in Ken Zen Ichii Karate and a 7th Degree Black Belt in the Four Winds System of Self Defense. The goal of the “Four Winds System” is to promote martial arts intelligence, the ability to comprehend and apply learned knowledge for protection from both internal and external forces.
Two Skies Inc is a organization committed to promoting the physical, emotional and mental development of children, adolescents, and adults. Two Skies Inc was created by Shihan Parker to provide economical self defense and life skills training for students who recognize the value of learning a skill that is useful in every day life. Self defense from the perspective of Two Skies Inc goes beyond the technical skill required to defend against a physical threat. Two Skies Inc recognizes that life skills training is also needed to address the economic and social changes that are impacting our world. It would be useless for a person to develop technical proficiency in the martial arts only to become or remain their own worse enemy. The internal threat can only be defeated through self awareness and personal action which lends itself to the age old phrase “He who conquers himself conquers the universe. Two Skies Inc is committed to carry on the tradition established by Grand Master Gregory Jaco, known throughout the Midwest as a prolific pioneer of the martial arts and my beloved teacher, may he rest in peace.
